i believe that the the movie of mice and men should be remade for many reasons. when gary sinise made his version of the movie i believe that many elements that john stinebeck included in the novel were left out. these elements i believe that the sense of foreshadowing of the end was quite poorly done and that the ending was rushed and i felt that the emotions that stinbeck put in his novel weren't portrayed as wells as they could of been. also when this movie was made the events going on in the world were were different to todays time now there is the global financial crisis and if the movie was remade now many people could relate to the issues faced by george and Lenny.

Setting

i think i would have this set in the 1950's during the glory days of the wool industry and when growing crops was the thing that you did as a side thing and as a hobby not know were it is the hobby to have a couple of hundred sheep and have a couple of thousand acres of crop in not 40 thousand acres of crop not 40 thousand sheep

Plot

i think that the plot of the story would be the reverse of the book and that the bosses 2 sons wanted to have a piece of their own land because their father wouldn't give them any of the profits and then along comes the cook a young good looking girl that one of the sons falls in love with but this puts the brothers plans in jeopardy of leaving the family property and moving away to own to blocks of land next to each other and settling down, one brother takes it into his hands to solve the problem giving the cook a lead earring.
