Adrian CAT 2

If you have any suggestions, please comment. Dear Sir or Madam: 14/11/09 I write regarding your advertisement for film proposals involving Australia to be targeted at an International audience. I believe that I have found a concept for a film that would suit your requirements perfectly. I am sure you are no doubt familiar with ‘Of Mice and Men’ by John Steinbeck and its two adaptations to the big screen. While I believe that a new version of ‘Of Mice and Men’ wouldn’t work if it were both to r… Continue

ScottyMurn Storyline for the CAT

Last night I wrote up around 250 words of my film proposal, the start of my story. My story follows much the same line of that of Of Mice and Men and encompasses many similar themes as well. However, it is my main objective to introduce a very Australian feel to it, identifying the Australian dream, and to highlight various aspects of society today. My story goes as follows: The story focuses on a community of Aboriginals living in cheap housing in Bunbury. Many suffer from the effects of alcoh… Continue

DowSey- Draft to the CAT - Constructive Critisicm Welcome!

The wind blew in the doorway of Dream Coffee, like God himself was cooling down a cuppa with his breath. Loud, persistent sweeping noises could be heard in the background, the only sound emanating from the shop. Dream Coffee was so barren now-a-days that Fred wouldn't be surprised if a tumbleweed drifted through the front of the establishment. "Why me..." Fred said to himself. "Why do I have to be cursed with this bloody oaf." "Wh-wh-what did you say Fwed?" "Nothing Michael...Just keep sweeping… Continue

Describe the setting - Set in the Australian heartland, Western Australian farm. The land is dry and desolate, the ground shivers as the dust tumbles on over the red baked earth fruitless to the crops it previously bore. Labourers are seen fleetingly as they… Continue

I have a few ideas for a new version of Of Mice and Men set in contempary Australia. I was thinking originally to maybe set it as a modernistic scene, maybe with a coffee shop or something that is running out of business and there is a really intelligent store owner that keeps having great ideas to further advertising and other things..However is also blessed/cursed with a brother that keeps getting in the way of the of the store owner and causing bad business. I'm thinking about the younger bro… Continue

Max CAT ideas

i believe that the the movie of mice and men should be remade for many reasons. when gary sinise made his version of the movie i believe that many elements that john stinebeck included in the novel were left out. these elements i believe that the sense of foreshadowing of the end was quite poorly done and that the ending was rushed and i felt that the emotions that stinbeck put in his novel weren't portrayed as wells as they could of been. also when this movie was made the events going on in the… Continue
