I believe that this text still has some relevance to today's society. Although racism has certainly decreased compared to the times in which the issue of racism was a very strong one. I also see that the main points of this text relate to other idea…

We are doing i have a dream because it is one of the great speeches in history that allowed African Americans to live the American dream. In all it's beauty, this piece is also very easy to write answers to the posed questions comparatively to other…

Profile Information

Are you a big reader? If so, what have you been reading recently?
Not really, but i have gotten into Matthew Riley's series of novels in recent times as they appeal to me.
Do you enjoy wriitng? If so, what kind of writing do you especially enjoy?
Not really on a computer it is ok but my hand starts to hurt after a sustained period of constant writing. So it is not enjoyable for me. Creative writing on the other hand is as entertaining as reading books of a similar kind.
Favourite music
Red hot chilli's
Favourite films
Shawshank redemption, Lock stock two smoking barrels, Bourne series, WW related movies

Of Mice and Men Blog Post 222222222222222222222222222222222222222

I think Of Mice and Men is about the story of two best friends living life in the late 1920's during the great depression. Fitting with this time period the two are out of work and rely on each other to keep striving to earn money and develop a better life. Throughout the book the two experience a few lows but mostly life seems quite calm for them. It also is a representation of the pursuit of the American dream for a care free life with animals, no bills etc.. This pursuit of the dream is what… Continue

Mice and Men Blog post ONE

For QE one i did question one.
I found that there a quite a few striking differences between reading the book and watching the film in Mice and Men but these differences also usually apply to many other film adaptations of novels.
The first being the differences between ones imagination and what the director felt the character should be portrayed like. This is of course different for all people but i for one did not imagine Lennie to be as "slow" as he was depicted in the film, sure i saw a slig… Continue

CAT Draft Part A

Scene i felt was poorly done.

I think Baz Lurhman took away from the beauty of the original play with this opening scene which tries to be so many things at once but ultimately makes a mockery of the two rival families and ends up confusing the viewer. I think a key mistake Baz Lurhman made was giving the scene a western feel from the corny music to the squeaking of the fuel sign; it just didn’t feel right especially after viewing the rest of the film. The script, although cut down greatly stil… Continue

Short Term Task Q17

This was a draft i lost the complete one.
Does any character differ from the way you imagined them?
When we first came across the topic of R&J I had not read the play but of course already had heard a basic rundown of the plot and a could remember a few characters, yet by the time clips of Baz lurhmans adaptation were played in class I still had no idea who most of the characters were. So my basic ideas revolved around what was presented in the modern day reenactment of the play, some of the… Continue
