When looking through this Unit Plan, i realize that the nature of it is more on the work side, which for me isn't necessarily a bad thing, it is just different to the other Unit Plan. But i must agree that it is creative work (which is what the titl…

Firstly, I think this question should be asked in all classes in which a topic of this kind is to be studied. The first thing that comes to mind for me is the timeless quality of this particular story. Regardless of language, this play doesn't not i…

The attitude of children back in the 15th/16th century was very different. Respect for their parents wasn't that different, but the way that it is shown is very different. Back in the 15th/16th century, children were... seen but not heard. This woul…

Profile Information

Are you a big reader? If so, what have you been reading recently?
I am not that big of a reader, but I do enjoy reading a book from time to time. When I was in Manley over the holidays, I stayed at a house which had a book called "Hour Game" by David Baldacci. I picked it up and started to read it, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but unfortunately only read about 300 pages because we were out of the house most of the day. Before the holidays ended i finished the book "Animal Farm" and begun reading "Kestrel For A Naive" but the holidays finished before i could really get into it.
Do you enjoy wriitng? If so, what kind of writing do you especially enjoy?
Writing is not one of my strong points in life, because of this i do not write anything outside of school (except text messages). When I have a choice in what i write, it is always creative writing. I guess i enjoy it to an extent, but not enough to write in my own time.
Favourite music
My favourite music is Rock, and Pop. The rest i don't mind at all, except for country which I dislike very much.
Favourite films
I love Comedy, Action, Horror and Sci Fi films. I don't have a favourite movie though, there are too many to have one favourite.

GI - 5, The Text I Chose

For this section of the course i have decided to work on my own, i have done this so i can remove the extra worry of relying on others during this upcoming time of exams and assessments.

In my group i decided to do "To Kill A Mockingbird" By Harper Lee. The reason i have decided to read/study this book is because it is a classic, winner of the Pulitzer Prize, and renowned for the humor and "warmth" provided in its words, while still tackling serious issues such as rape, and racial inequalities/… Continue

Progress Report 1

We have started the semester with bang!

This is a much more hands on/involved topic as opposed to the satire topic.
This is a great idea due to the fact that it will attract people who are more outgoing and are good at expressing themselves.
I am surprised at high level of comfort in regards to the language. A massive improvement compared to last years Julius Caesar topic.
I am looking forward to seeing whether or not the teachers are more excited by this topic because it is not a repeat of las… Continue

Set your own prep opinion

I thought the "set your own prep" task was interesting.
I would be interested to whether people actually did the work, how little or how much people did and did they stick to the dates (i know that i was guilty of the date completion).

I liked the fact that you were able to choose from such a broad range. I learnt quite a bit. I was amazed at the extent of how formal and informal language was broken down and studied. It was certainly more interesting than i anticipated.

So, thumbs up from me a… Continue
