What is of Mice and Men about?

It is of my opinion that 'Of Mice and Men' as both movie and book share a common message and meaning. I think that it shows how true mate-ship or family make life much more treasurable life is when you know that there is someone else in the world who cares about you. Within both book and film, George seems to me like a parent to Lennie and although he openly expresses how much better his life would be without him, I think he knows that this might not be the case.… Continue

In what ways does Sinise tell his story differently from Steinbeck?

I feel that because Steinbeck has written a book and Sinise has created a film, their methods in getting the message and experience that they aim to achieve for the viewer are quite different art forms.

Steinbeck uses pages of adjectives throughout ‘Of Mice And Men’ to describe scenes in an attempt, I feel, to make it feel similar for the reader to watching a movie with each reader creating vivid images flashing ac… Continue
